Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to six points on Saturday with a hard-fought 2-1 away win over Nice. Christophe Galtier's side were under pressure to maintain their advantage after second-placed Lens had closed the gap to three points earlier in the day.

Goals from Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé in the first half put PSG in control, but Nice rallied after the break and Gaëtan Laborde pulled a goal back in the 73rd minute. PSG held on to secure the three points and move six points clear of Lens, who have a game in hand.

Messi opened the scoring for PSG in the 45th minute with a low left-footed shot from the center of the box. Mbappé doubled the lead just after the hour mark with a right-footed finish from the center of the box. Laborde's goal for Nice came from close range after a scramble in the PSG box.

The win extends PSG's unbeaten streak in Ligue 1 to 12 games. They will look to continue their winning ways when they host Clermont Foot at home next weekend.
